Can I connect a cooker to a normal socket?+
Some smaller ovens are supplied with a plug and can. Most freestanding cookers draw far too much and need a dedicated circuit at a cooker control unit.
Does an electric shower need its own circuit?+
Almost always. They draw a lot of current and sharing a circuit is not acceptable.
Do you do the plumbing for a shower?+
No. The electrical supply, isolation and testing are covered; the water connection is a plumber's work.
My immersion heater trips the electrics. Is that the element?+
Often, but not always. Testing separates a failed element from a thermostat fault or a problem on the circuit.
Where does a bathroom fan isolator have to go?+
Outside the bathroom zones, and the switching arrangement depends on whether the fan has a timer overrun. That is set out at the visit.
Can you replace like for like quickly?+
Yes, where the existing circuit is suitable. That is confirmed first rather than assumed.
