Our story
Lighting Electrical is Valandi’s electrical firm, based in Colchester. He has been wiring homes and businesses here for ten years, and he is NAPIT registered.
What we get called to is decided by what people live in. A Victorian terrace where the lighting circuit has been extended once or twice too often. A post-war semi with a board fitted long before RCDs were standard. A new build where the sockets ended up nowhere near where the kitchen went. That mix decides the real work in a job: what can be chased into a wall and what has to be run on the surface, whether the earthing and bonding are up to current standards, and whether the existing supply will carry another load such as a shower or a car charger. Valandi checks that first and prices afterwards, because the age of a house on its own settles nothing.
A normal week is a mix of homeowners, landlords who need testing done properly before a tenancy, and small commercial premises. We work across Colchester and in Witham, Maldon, Wivenhoe, Tiptree, Kelvedon, West Mersea, Stanway, Brightlingsea, Coggeshall, Marks Tey, Dedham, Rowhedge, Great Horkesley, Heybridge and Silver End.
We are open Monday to Friday, nine to five. Those are the hours we publish because they are the hours we keep.
