A damaged, discoloured or dated accessory swapped on the existing circuit. The quickest of the three.
Add, move or replace sockets, light switches and dimmers, tested and certified on completion.
The published price covers a straightforward replacement or an addition onto an existing circuit. Where a new circuit, a chase into solid walls or making good is needed, that is surveyed and priced separately.

A damaged, discoloured or dated accessory swapped on the existing circuit. The quickest of the three.
A new outlet spurred or looped from a nearby point, once the circuit is confirmed as suitable to extend.
Relocating an accessory means new cable in the wall, so expect chasing and making good.
Dimmers must suit the lamps fitted. The wrong pairing causes flicker and buzz, so the lamp type is checked first.
We are NAPIT registered under member number 80815, and NAPIT publish that listing on their own member search, so you can confirm it without asking us for anything. Beyond the registration, the things we hold ourselves to are simple: the fault explained in plain English, a price agreed before the work starts, and the certificate or report the job calls for handed over at the end.
Send the job details and you get a straight answer on what is involved and what happens next.
Your quote, updates, payments and receipts stay together.
Photos, access details and updates stay with the job from start to finish.
See a price where one is available. Any quoted work is agreed before it starts.
The quote records which accessories are changed and whether the circuit is being extended.
Send a photo of the existing accessory and its position and most of this is settled before anyone arrives.
Photos and a description establish whether it is a replacement, an addition or a move.
The circuit is isolated and proved dead, then the accessories are fitted.
The circuit is tested and a certificate issued for the work done.
Old accessories are taken away and the area left clean.
Every change is recorded so the next electrician can see what was done.
Published customer reviews may cover different types of electrical work, not only sockets and switches.

I had an EV charger installed by Valand, and I couldn’t be more pleased. From the initial quote to the final inspection, the entire process was smooth and stress-free. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure the charger was positioned exactly where I wanted it. All the necessary certificates provided and warranty as well. Excellent service from start to finish!

Clear answers before you request a quote.
Often yes, by extending an existing circuit, provided that circuit is in good condition and has capacity. That is checked before the work is agreed.
Only if the accessory is moving or a new cable route is needed. A like-for-like replacement does not.
Filling and decoration are not included by default. Say if you want them and they can be quoted.
Usually the dimmer and the lamps are not a suitable pair. The lamp type is checked so the right dimmer goes in.
Yes. They fit the same back box in most cases, though a deeper box is sometimes needed.
Yes, a minor works certificate covering the work carried out.
Tell us the property, the postcode and what is actually happening, and add a photo of the fuse board if a circuit keeps tripping. That is usually enough for us to say which service it maps to and what the next step is. Homeowners, landlords and businesses are all welcome.
