Wivenhoe has a lot of let property, and much of it is older houses split into flats where circuits were divided between units at some point and nobody wrote down how.
That is what the report has to resolve. We establish where each installation actually starts and stops, test every circuit within it, and say plainly which door the report covers.
We are NAPIT registered under member number 80815, and NAPIT publish that listing on their own member search, so you can confirm it without asking us for anything. Beyond the registration, the things we hold ourselves to are simple: the fault explained in plain English, a price agreed before the work starts, and the certificate or report the job calls for handed over at the end.
Send the job details and you get a straight answer on what is involved and what happens next.
Your quote, updates, payments and receipts stay together.
Photos, access details and updates stay with the job from start to finish.
See a price where one is available. Any quoted work is agreed before it starts.
The electrician checks and tests the fixed electrical installation, then records the findings.
Knowing what the electrician needs makes the visit easier and reduces avoidable delays.
Provide access to the consumer unit, sockets and other fixed electrical points. Share earlier reports if you have them.
Parts of the installation need to be isolated while circuits and protective devices are tested.
The report records the results, any limitations and whether further action is recommended.

I had an EV charger installed by Valand, and I couldn’t be more pleased. From the initial quote to the final inspection, the entire process was smooth and stress-free. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure the charger was positioned exactly where I wanted it. All the necessary certificates provided and warranty as well. Excellent service from start to finish!

One per installation. Where the split is genuine, each flat gets its own. Where circuits still cross between units the report says so, because that is a finding in itself and it usually needs putting right.
Yes, with notice. Every room and the meter cupboard have to be reachable and the power goes off in sections, so an agreed time matters more than an empty house.
Normally within a couple of days of the visit. If something is dangerous you hear on the day, not when the paperwork lands.
That is how we do it anyway. Each coded item is priced on its own so the landlord chooses what proceeds, and the report is not a sales document.
At least every five years for a private tenancy in England, and again at a change of tenancy where the existing report has run out.

Tell us the property, the postcode and what is actually happening, and add a photo of the fuse board if a circuit keeps tripping. That is usually enough for us to say which service it maps to and what the next step is. Homeowners, landlords and businesses are all welcome.
