What changes the price of EICR
An EICR from £150 covers a full inspection of the installation and a written electrical safety report. The starting price is for a typical house; larger premises take longer.
- The starting price of £150 is for a standard domestic property. Extra circuits, outbuildings or a commercial layout add time on site.
- Remedial work is quoted separately after the report. We do not include repairs in the inspection price.
- Testing is carried out under NAPIT registration, with applicable paperwork when the inspection needs it.

An EICR starts from £150 for a typical house. Flats with few circuits sit at the lower end. Larger houses and commercial premises take longer and cost more.
How long does the test take?
A small house or flat is usually a morning. A larger home or a shop with many circuits can take most of the day. We tell you the likely time when we quote.
Do I need to be in for the inspection?
Someone with access has to let us in and stay while the power is off. Tenants can be present if the landlord has arranged the visit.
What do C1, C2 and C3 mean on the report?
C1 is danger present and we make that circuit safe before leaving. C2 is potentially dangerous and makes the report unsatisfactory. C3 is improvement recommended and does not fail the test on its own.
